What to Expect

welcome mat. bulldog

In your search for a veterinary facility, we at Helix Pet Hospital believe you should expect high quality care as well as great service. Our goal has been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary medicine. Our commitment to you is to offer thoughtful and compassionate care with a focus on delivering the highest quality medical care.

Your pet's annual vet check-up will include a total physical exam, with a thorough investigation of your pet's health from nose to tail. Dr. Lorber will make appropriate recommendations based on his exam findings.  These may include procedures such as lab work and other diagnostics, surgical procedures or anesthetic dental cleanings.  Because, even the most cooperative pet may not readily go-along with a tooth and gum brushing, an annual cleaning by your veterinarian may be in order. Like you, your pet can lose their teeth due to decay and neglect.  Routine dental cleanings are just one of the many preventative measures you can take to keep your pet happy and healthy and by your side longer.

Dr. Ryan Lorber is a compassionate veterinarian, who likes to treat each and every pet as he would treat one of his own.  He is willing and ready to explain all the procedures your pet may undergo. We hope that he is a doctor with whom both you and your pet feel comfortable.

If your pet's medical condition warrants, Dr. Lorber may refer you to a specialist.  Specialists are veterinarians who have completed advanced studies in specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, and emergency care.  If your pet must undergo a procedure that requires more precise knowledge and experience, you may be referred to one of these facilities
